General Product Overview

General Product Overview

Regardless of the tire brand this overview and detailed description of our products will apply to all tires and we will cover each tire specific in a later article. The purpose of this introduction is to help you familiarize yourself with the overall range of products we offer and help explain what track conditions each are designed to work for.

Inside Prep:

We offer two inside preps designed to cover a wide array of track conditions based on bite, and the effect each give based on the tire temp generated:

Original:

This prep has served as a staple of the PTS program for over 12 years and is our best all-round inside for a variety of conditions, here is some key points:

-Conditions while providing a durometer drop.
-Does not cure as quickly due to the conditioning nature of the product, this allows the tires to be ran longer without re-rolling
-Drops the tire 3pts per 30cc
-Has a greater reaction to tire temp which makes it a great choice for spring and fall seasons as well as go to prep for Saturday night racing

Advanced:

The Advanced Inside was added to the program for customers looking for a tire that would cure quicker for higher bite  and higher temp track conditions where a stable durometer is needed for a more consistent laps through a run.

-Dries and cures the tire up very quickly
-Drops tire 2pts per 30cc
-Very little reaction to tire temp
-Needs to re-rolled more often to stay affective

Outside:

We offer several outside preps that will cover a wide range of track conditions with little to no overlap in usage per product. All of the bite preps are named for the track condition that they are intended to be used on.

High Bite:

For those of you familiar with Hot Lap 2, AT2, Cornerspeed 2, regardless of the name this is generally speaking, all the same stuff. Our product is designed to provide slightly more bite based on the ratio in which is mixed but it is the staple of any tire program and is very user friendly to use. Designed for higher bite conditions generally seen in day time applications but is great overall conditioner for all brands of tires where a stable durometer is demanded when applied and cured throughout the week.

-Clear in color and odorless
-Designed to be very neutral with very minimum durometer drop especially when allowed to cure
-Designed to be a great weekly conditioner and a great base for trackside use and works well with other preps that are mixed in such as Acrysol and Black Sand

Medium Bite:

As the name states, this is a great all around prep for during the week or at the track when more bite is needed for either a tacky track with a lite dew on the track or when the track looses bite due to being dry slick

-Blue in color with a Blueberry scent
-Designed with a more aggressive base oil that creates more bite and will slightly drop the durometer as volume is increased through wiping
-Great for during the week applications where is more bite is needed for slightly tacky or dry slick conditions day or night
-Best used at the track when diluted with Acrysol 50% and Black Sand can be added to create more bite if needed

Low Bite:

This is a very unique prep and has a very specific purpose. When normal bite preps are not affective due to the lower bite track conditions but typical softeners are far too aggressive the Low Bite really comes through and provides a great weekly and trackside option for these conditions. This is not a tire softener and will drop the durometer very minimal but will provide an amazing amount of grip for lower bite track conditions and works best when the temperatures are 70 and under.

-Dark Burgundy color
-Can be used during the week to add a significant amount of bite to the tire and works best when the tires are rolled heavier from the inside
-Will not work when there track is wet alone, but can be combined with the Wet Track to aid in the the softening ability both during the week or at the track
-Great for indoor tracks that change dramatically throughout the day as it will work when there is moisture present (not wet) and when its dry but the track needs to be considered lower in bite for it to work optimally.
-When used by itself it will come out of the tire unlike softeners but its not advised in using if the track conditions are considered high bite

Softeners:

We offer a range of tire softeners that all work when the tracks are wet and require a much softer durometer. Can be used during the week or at the track to achieve different results and bite characteristics and these preps become a permanent part of the tire and will not come back to its original state regardless of durometer.

Wet Track:

This is our go to prep when tires need to be softened during the week or it acts as a great wipe for at the track to fire the tire off when the tracks are transitioning from wet to a slightly tackier surface.

-Purple in color with a grape scent
-Wiped for volume during the week and is increased as a softer tire is needed. Can be added to Low Bite when less aggressive softening is needed during the week
-Trackside wiping alone does not go as deep in the tire and is recommended when you need the prep to fire off and run out of the tire to prevent the tires from locking down

Gold Tire Softener:

AKA Goat Pee, is a generic tire softener that we do not produce but what we sell is the most pure uncut product on the market.

-Gold to Dark Brown in color (varies from batch)
-Works the same as the Wet Track but is designed to soften more per use but will not condition the tire as its wiped during the week
-Used at the track in the same way described for the Wet Track

Extreme Green:

One of the more unique and powerful preps on the market, this prep is more versatile than the other softeners that we carry but is by far the most aggressive.

-Dark forest green color
-Primarily designed as a trackside prep and works extremely well when the tires are softened during the week to the correct durometer and the EG is applied at the track to fire the tires off
-Can be wiped wet and allowed to go directly to the grid for the least amount of bite or allowed to dry and multiple coats applied with or without heat for added bite and softening
-Can be used on a multiple brands of tires to fire off in EXTREME Dry Slick conditions and is best used on tougher, drier rubber if the track has any amount of bite whatsoever.

Miscellaneous:

Fire:

Designed for trackside application only, Fire does as worded fires the tires off no residual effect left so the tires return to normal once the top coat application is wore off.

-Lite Yellow color with a distinct Lemon Scent
-Use with heat and the more coats that are applied only allow the prep to last longer
-Designed for all track conditions other than extremely high bite tracks or tracks that contain moisture.
-Needs to be used in conjunction with a tire that can provide the proper amount of bite after the fire has wore off
-Works on all brands of tires but works extremely well on Burris 33's

Acrysol:

This is not a product that we produce but rather a commercial made product by Kent. We advise using Acrysol with our any or Outside preps for trackside use only to aid in the drying and curing effect of the prep but it also dilute the bite characteristics of the prep its being used with so less overall bite is generated per wipe.

-Clear in color
-Advised to be used with a solution rate of up to 50% with our Bite Preps but use as needed.
-Can be used alone as a very lite surface prep for high bite track conditions an can be mixed with Black Sand for a quick topical trackside wipe.
