Our first and most used outside prep due to its versatility and common knowledge is our High Bite prep. As we outlined in the overview article, "bite" is referred to the track not the prep, so the HB is designed for higher bite applications and can be used on all brands of tires.
General Use:
* HB can be used during the week or at the track with a durometer range typically of low 50's and above
* Weekly -
HB is used to build a volume of bite in the tire that we commonly refer to as neutral, this describes that the tire will continue to build bite but the overall durometer is affected very little. There is no perfect amount of wipes that a tires needs but more understanding the more that you wipe the more bite that is built. Cure time is advised with the amount of time depending on how tough you need the tire to return back to. Generally we advise letting the tires cure the from mid week on, but for higher bite more abrasive track conditions along with warmer temperatures, tires can cure up to 14 days.
* Trackside:
HB works very well as a trackside wipe where a lite, quick bite is needed. We advise that it be cut 50% with Acrysol to work the best and Black Sand can be added in a ratio up to 30% if you feel more bite is needed. Heat can be used to accelerate how quick the tire takes the prep and it will make the prep act more aggressive as more wipes are applied. Depending on track conditions and temperatures, the tires can be used within 5 minutes after application up to letting them cure for 30 minutes if the track is hot and dry slick, this will prevent the tires from prep sliding.
