Our Medium Bite works very well on tracks that range from slightly dry slick or slightly tacky and works very well in cooler temperatures and Saturday night racing but regardless it provides the tire with a tremendous amount of bite and works when the HB is not enough for either during the week or at the track applications.
General Use:
* MB can be used during the week or at the track with a durometer range typically of mid 40's to 50 as long as the track is not overly wet and works on all brands of tires
* Weekly -
MB is used to build a volume of bite in the tire but unlike the HB, it contains a more aggressive oil which will lightly drop the durometer up to 4 points, as more is applied. There is no perfect amount of wipes that a tires needs but more understanding the more that you wipe the more bite that is built. Cure time is advised with the amount of time depending on how tough you need the tire to return back to. Generally we advise letting the tires cure from mid week on, but cure longer if you want the tire to be tougher and produce less surface bite but allow the tire to still have volume.
* Trackside:
MB works very well as a trackside wipe where a deeper feeling bite is needed. We advise that it be cut 50% with Acrysol to work the best and Black Sand can be added in a ratio up to 30% if you feel more bite is needed. Heat can be used to accelerate how quick the tire takes the prep and it will make the prep act more aggressive as more wipes are applied. Depending on track conditions and temperatures, the tires can be used within 5 minutes after application up to letting them cure for 30 minutes if the track is hot and dry slick, this will prevent the tires from prep sliding.
